Everyone Is Eating Other Peoples Dinner`
First the Pine Marten discovered the feeder intended for the red squirrels (see previous post) and he's now a regular visitor (if you're booked to stay with us in the next couple of weeks be sure to ask if you'd like to see him).
Now the red squirrels have decided to move on to the peanut feeder intended for the birds.
It's not that the pine marten have scared the red squirrels off their feeder, they're on it every day as well and we keep it topped up, it's just that some squirrels seem to relish the challenge of hanging upside down trying to pull peanuts out through the wire.

Who Ate All The Peanuts
It's strange, lately the peanuts in the squirrel feeder in the garden have been disappearing really quickly recently.
Then a couple of days ago I noticed this...
Looks like a bit of a fat squirrel.
Of course it's not, we've found the culprit. A pine marten has discovered the feeder and been helping himself to all the nuts.
